Governor Issues Thanksgiving Day Message

Statement

Governor Sean Parnell issued the following message in recognition of Thanksgiving:

"As we celebrate Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season, we are reminded of all that we have to be grateful for -- our families, friends and fellow Alaskans. As my term as governor draws to a close, I am truly thankful for all of the Alaskans who make a difference in the lives of their neighbors. We have a magnificent state filled with good-hearted people. It has been an honor to serve you.

"I urge Alaskans to pause for a moment today and remember the men and women of our armed forces who are serving our country here at home and around the world, as well as the families who await their return.

"Sandy and I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving, and extend to you and your loved ones all the best during this holiday season."
